Introduction
The Boyndie Drome Open Challenge (BDOC) is the most accessible route to getting racing in owner driver karting. This series is run by Grampian Kart Club to be as open a championship – allowing a wide range of equipment to be used and act a stepping stone for those wanting to graduate to Motorsport UK competition.

Owner Drivers
GKC is an inclusive club and will try cater for all kart types and give classes their own grid where there is demand. Typical classes:

Hire Karts
Grampian Kart Club will run a hire kart / arrive and drive series late Saturday afternoons suitable for competitors aged 15 years+. For more information visit the hire kart series page.
Race Format (Sunday)
- Drivers briefing 9am with 3 lap practice shortly after
- Bambinos 1x 6min timed heat & 2x 6min +1 lap heats with all other classes 3x 6min heat + 1 lap
- 1x 8min final + 1lap (grid based off total points from heats)
Cost
- Saturday Practice – £20 (+£10 for non-members)
- Sunday Race Entry – £50 (+£10 day membership for non-members)
- Bambino entry free of charge for 2025
- Transponder Hire – £10
