Sunday 14 June 2026
The GKC GP Plate is back after the success of 2025. This is an open event run to the same regulations as our popular Boyndie Drome Open Challenge (KZ2 will run Le Cont class tyre). A great opportunity to get your eye in ahead of the Scottish Championships in July.
We are working hard behind the scenes to get our new digital info panels and marshal lighting system installed and operational for this meeting. Bringing an enhanced race weekend experience to our competitors.
As with 2025 we are hoping to have some social activities for those visiting to enjoy outside of the on-track action. More information to follow.

Rules & Regulations
This event is not part of the BDOC and doesn’t utilise your BDOC tyre allocation. All competitors may use 1x brand new race tyres for race day.
KZ2 will run the Le Cont LPM class tyre.
Other than tyres all other rules & regulations apply from the BDOC.
Feature trophy
Up for grabs in June is the Granville Grubb trophy. Open to the KZ2 category.
The Granville Grubb Memorial Trophy is in memory of a former GKC member. Granville was sadly killed after sustaining injuries during a karting demonstration at Ingilston in 1981. This trophy will be run as a seperate 20 lap race at the end of the days racing with a random grid drawn from a hat. Winner takes the trophy.
Class must have a minimum of 5 drivers for trophy to go ahead.
Sponsors
We have sponsorship opportunities for the GKC GP Plate. Sponsorship goes towards enhancing the competitors race weekend experience. In the BDOC we use sponsorship to offer members free Saturday practice (covering cost of medical cover and marshals) and to provide a driver’s raffle of amazing prizes.
In return we will promote sponsors across our website and social media. Sponsors are also welcome to present the trophies to the class they sponsored and set-up branding if they wish.
If you’d like to discuss the opportunity please get in touch.
Camping & Facilities
Access will be available from Friday evening for non-members with the clubhouse open and free to use in the evening. Camping is free with no requirement to pre-book. The paddock is first come, first served but please use the space effectively. Anyone obstructing roads, paths or using more space than required will be asked to move. The paddock is reserved for vehicles used to transport karts only. Entourage must park either at the entrance or by the skips behind the workshop. Showers and toilets will be available within the clubhouse from Friday evening to end of event Sunday.
The Spotty Bag Shop will be catering both Saturday and Sunday with hot food, snacks and drinks.
Volunteer @ GKC
Our club is built and run by enthusiastic volunteers. Whether it’s front of house on circuit or behind the scenes we have opportunities for any Motorsport fans.
