Join us Valentine’s day (Saturday 14 February) as Grampian Kart Club kick off season with a managed pre-season test day.
A great opportunity to get on track with others ahead of the race season starting in March. The sessions will be managed with a running order of classes running from 9:30am – 4pm. This is open to anyone – whether you’re new or experienced.
The day is free for GKC members and open to non-members on a day membership of £40 payable on Alpha Timing. Please pay the day membership on Alpha Timing prior to coming to race control to sign on.
On the day you must report to race control to sign on prior to being allowed on circuit. You will be issued a wrist band to attach to your kart – without it you will not be let out the dummy grid.
The day will be run in sessions by class – report to the dummy grid to join the session. Running order will be established on the morning when we know what classes are running.
If you have a transponder we’d be greatful if you fitted it for the day. This will help us ensure timing is running smoothly after the winter break and help us with training a couple of new timekeepers.
As you will all be aware it’s been a very wet start to the year. Please don’t park on the grass and use the hard standing area instead. Don’t block the service roads and keep a clear path directly in front of the clubhouse. Park consideratley and only vehicles associated with transporting karts on the hard standing outside the clubhouse. There is hard standing available round the back of the clubhouse / rental kart shed for excess vehicles.
Spectators welcome, please either park outside the entrance on the hard standing or round the back of the main building in the paddock to avoid getting stuck in the grass.
